Sublime \Sub*lime"\, a. [Compar. {Sublimer}; superl.
{Sublimest}.] [L. sublimis; sub under (perhaps) a word akin
to limen lintel, sill, thus meaning, up to the lintel: cf. F.
sublime. Cf. {Eliminate}.]
1. Lifted up; high in place; exalted aloft; uplifted; lofty.
