Do you need a subscription to play Battlefront 2 online? To my knowledge, you do not need a subscription to be able to play Battlefront II online on Steam On Xbox however, you do need an Xbox Live Gold subscription - or more accurately now, a Game Pass (possibly Game Pass Ultimate Subscription) as they don't really do Xbox Live Gold anymore
