Why does eu4 start in 1444 and not earlier? : r eu4 - Reddit It's really hard to start before 1444 and have AI Ottomans and AI Muscovy do as well as they did historically, without giving them totally unrealistic bonuses The reason why EU4 didn't start on 10 november 1444 is because then Poland would be leading PUs over both Lithuania and Hungary
