A Bendix is a Bendix is a Bendix Other than size differences, and mounting flanges, the Bendix brakes are basically the same all the way up to current production As Stud said, the F-1 and early F-100 are 11", and the F-2 is a 12" Both will fit on an early Ford spindle, with the F-2 requiring a little filing of the mounting bolt holes
Technical - Flathead ford starter wont engage flywheel Bendix was fine, but the brushes were bad and the commutator was dirty and carbon tracked A little polishing +$15 for my local starter guy to test the field coils and replace brushes and it works great now DO NOT run a Ford starter without those lock tabs on the spring bolts!!!

B. - The Jalopy Journal So you need to pull the solenoid off, and then manually pull back on the plunger to force the bendix gear into the flywheel Then use a 1 8" allen wrench and slide the short part of the allen in between the bottom where the bendix and ring gear intersect If the gap is correct the allen wrench should slip in there easily
