National Merit Discussion Class of 2026 - College Confidential Forums Hey! Just wanted to create a discussion thread for the Class of 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program I’m aware that it is a bit early in the game, but as the last round of PSAT scores will be released next week, I think it would be smart to have a head start!
National Merit Commended - College Confidential Forums Commended is top 3-4% in the country on a one-and -done test, and that Selection Index would mean NMSF in most states Mention it and include the selection index: that is what college counselors in our high-cutoff state encourage
When is the earliest we could find out Commended status? The commended score cutoff should be known in the next few days (not September - that is for the Semifinalist cutoff) so you will be able to check that box very soon! Good luck! Is it worth putting National Merit on a resume or college application . . . I got my PSAT scores back today, and if the cutoff is similar to what it has been in previous years, I will easily make the cutoff for “commended” (I’ll miss the cutoff for semifinalist) Is it worth putting something like this on an application resume, since literally like 30,000 kids get “commended” status?
