Tuning 352 - 332-428 Ford FE Engine Forum Your set up is ok, initial + mech She might take more initial with good gas Next, hold her steady at about 1800-2100 rpm Re-attach vac hose to prove it Should go up A shop manual, or vintage Chiltons or Motor will have spec , but good is good Normal to get little vac advance at a lowish idle speed I'd add 4 deg initial, then 2 more step by step, 'till light knock, (test drive) then
