Re: Color Picker Bug? My InDesign seems to be confusing HSB and RGB. The problem I'm trying to point out is that the values in the color picker aren't mathing right You'll notice when you're working in the color picker that changing one of the RGB values makes the numbers in the HSB, Lab, and CMYK areas update--except for whatever reason, working in HSB doesn't display the right colors automatically
How do I change the color picker in InDesign (2019) InDesign’s color management is more complicated than CM in Photoshop and Illustrator In Photoshop and AI the document has a single color mode, so when you pick a color from the abstract Hue color field, and apply it to the document, the picked color gets explicitly converted into the document’s color space—if the document color mode is RGB you know you are actually picking an RGB color
How to change the color picker color space view? - Adobe Support Community InDesign doesn't have a document color space like Illustrator and Photoshop—a document can have a mix of either CMYK, RGB, or Lab objects, and the 3 color pickers (the Color Picker, Color, and Swatches panels) are limited to those spaces
Color Picker wont change the color properly? - Adobe Support Community The color picker is actually programmed correctly If the user chooses a CMYK file, then attempts to choose an out-of-CMYK-gamut color via the RGB color space, the color picker rightly only will pick colors compatible with the CMYK color gamut, which is consistent with the document
color space view from rgb to cmyk - Adobe Product Community - 9546762 Barb did a link to a thread where Rob is explaining that Color Picker indeed is able to convert RGB to CMYK using InDesign's Color Managment I toyed a bit with the panel in InDesign CS6 It's not that intuitive, but you can convert a picked RGB value to CMYK values and also see the managed preview on screen Step 1: Pick a color like: 0, 255
RGB Color Space to CMYK Color Space view - Adobe Support Community The ID color picker is strictly a RGB tool (other than being able to create a CMYK or Lab "equivalent" swatch, which inthe case of CMYK porbably won't be very close most of the time due to gamut restrictions), and is a very dangerous place for you to go when working in CMYK
Color picking options - Adobe Support Community The Eye Dropper in the Apple Color Picker can sample from anywhere PS Preferences > General > Color Picker set to Apple PS Eye Dropper in the Apple Color Picker I think the last time the Adobe Color Picker could do it in Photoshop was back before macOS X came out, but it might have been a little later than that
