Florence- how long to see the Uffizi and Accademia? We will be visiting Florence in June and plan to visit the Uffizi and Accademia museums RS Italy hardly ever seems to spend even two hours in a museum, but we're pretty thorough museum visitors So how long should I really plan for these visits, given that we will have lots of things to see on our list, but also really want to do each visit justice?
Time at Florences Accademia, Uffizi, and walking between the two The main thing at the Accademia is the Michelangelos, especially the famous David, so I would see that first, maybe an hour or less, then walk twenty minutes or so slightly downhill to the Uffizi (waving at the Duomo and Baptistery as you walk by; no time for them) and spend until closing there (take a great picture of the Ponte Vecchio from the big windows at the far end of the main gallery
uffizi accademia in one day? - Rick Steves Travel Forum Realistically, I'd schedule one gallery per day, and get as early a time as you can Once you're inside, expect large (and sometimes pushy) crowds in the Botticelli room (the Birth of Venus and La Primavera) in the Uffizi, and around Michelangelo's David in the Accademia
Florence museum reservations are sold out. Now what?! I just tried to reserve tickets to Accademia and Uffizi Gallery for Sunday 3 September online They are sold out for that date Has anyone still gotten in by waiting in line to buy tickets the day of on a Sunday? Or if they are sold out online does that mean they would not allow anyone else to purchase tickets?
Florence: Accademia Uffizi - Rick Steves Travel Forum Buy tickets for the Uffizi Gallery two months out to guarantee reservations, this museum sells out If you don’t buy tickets before leaving home you will stand in a four-hour line The line at Accademia moves quicker and you should be able to get in within 30 minutes
Uffuzi gallery question - Rick Steves Travel Forum To visit the Uffizi on a Sunday, you must go to the ticket window beside the Loggia dei Lanzi in Piazza della Signoria and get timed entry tickets to the museum
Free Sundays - Uffizi Museum? - Rick Steves Travel Forum Hello all - We (3 adults) will be in Florence in May on the 'free admission' day for museums We are considering trying to visit the Uffizi gallery on the this day, but honestly I'm having trouble finding information So far, this is the most I know (from the museum website): *By connecting
Academia v. Uffizi v. Bargello v. Pitti in Florence - Rick Steves With 3 full days in Florence, I think you could easily do all of the above All of your choices would be covered by the Firenze Card With the Firenze Card, you wouldn't need to reserve times for the Academia and Uffizi, and the Bargello and Pitti Palace museums don't need to be booked ahead of time The FC won't eliminate wait times completely, but it will give you some flexibility
Florence: Accademia or Uffizi Gallery, or both? - Rick Steves We will arrive in Florence by train at noon on a Sunday and depart on Tuesday Which did you prefer, the Accademia (David) or Uffizi Gallery? Or, should we try to see both on Sunday afternoon (they're both closed on Monday)?
