Iready, MAP test results- when do parents see them? Does anyone have information if there’s an expected time line in FCPS for the test results to be posted or mailed to parents? Is there a certain time from the closing of the testing window? Has your school posted the test scores and information already in sis? Thanks!
Iready - DCUM Weblog The iReady is not an IQ test, my kid is smart and loves math but he is not a genius or a prodigy or needing to be super accelerated He enjoys math and asked for enrichment and to do math competitions So yes, his iReady score is a lot higher then your kids was He has always scored in the 99th percentile for math
Why iReady is dangerous - DCUM Weblog IReady is a screener it will help find students that need extra help that were overlooked before and years later needed much more intervention It is a good thing In order to get the information needed, you need to administer it more than once It also shows growth- so that you can see if a child learned during the time period One time tests or screeners do not do this
iReady Reading and Map Math scores - 3rd grade Fall Hi, we received the Fall iready scores for reading and MAP scores for math for my 3'rd grade DS Below are the scores - iReady Reading - Overall 'Early On' (Two Early On and Two Mid or Above) Percentile - 82 MAP Math - Overall 'High' Percentile - 94 We were hoping to refer my DS to AAP for this year (parent referral , did not get in last year) How good are these scores? Specifically i am
I-Ready grade level estimates - DCUM Weblog By iready standards, your kid doesn't currently belong in a 2nd or 3rd grade classroom for math, so it doesn't view your kid as "above grade level " For what it's worth, had your kid taken the 2nd or 3rd grade iready, it would have considered your kid "on grade level" for 2nd and 3rd grade, respectively
Can we opt out of iready? - DCUM Weblog And FCPS uses 2-3 times a year, every year Yes! It’s getting ridiculous I see how it can be useful for the younger grades to see if a kid has big gaps in learning how to read, but upper elementary schoolers don’t need to be taking the reading Iready multiple times a year while deep into SOL prep season
Iready score and progress concern - DCUM Weblog 1st grade DC had fall and spring iready tests, math was 440+ fall then 460+ spring while reading 520+ fall then 530+ spring, just curious since so little score change, does it mean DC doesn’t make much progress in the past 5 months?
Can someone shed some light on I-ready Assessment Numbers I iready has them placed on grade level- 5th and 2nd The arc reading is much more in line with their abilities My oldest no longer takes a Map math test so we don't get to compare that anymore but my younger son scored 99th percentile on the map math
iReady score - Poor scores in Reading section - DCUM Weblog The iReady is a poor exam as it is and the reading one is the worst Kids rush through it to get to the video games they can play when they are done On top of that, the reading test doesn't change from year to year so kids guess at answers without re-reading the passages because they think they remember the passages
Huge shift in Iready scores? - DCUM Weblog IReady is really a very poor test and as a teacher, I had very little faith in it The county was going to do away with it, and then the pandemic hit, and they needed something
