Saw somebody insert a GIF into their macro - Roll20 so a couple campaigns ago probably 2 months ago, i played with a person that whenever they would shoot with their gunslinger a gif would come out It looked pretty cool, it was a gif of a guy shooting his gun, so i was wondering if anybody new how to insert pictures or gifs into the chat or macros without just linking a url?

Do we need roll20 versions of books? If I or my DM own hard copies (or pdfs) or the rulebooks we intend to use, do we need specific copies of those books for Roll 20 to play them here? Is there anything about the system that requires us to have specific rulebooks owned ON roll 20 to use them in games?

Roll20 as a single player platform The monsters wouldn't be a surprise since you already set them up yourself, but you could still roll dice and attempt to solo play it My recommendation would be, start spending time having fun setting up the modules in Roll20 This will get you understanding the Roll20 interface, and setting up is a form of "playing"
