How do you remain productive while holding a 9-5 job? Several months ago, I decided I needed to treat this like a part-time job — 20 hrs per week But on top of my 9-5 that pays my bills And I'm trying to commit to that But that means 4 hrs weekday or spending a good chunk of my weekend working on YouTube I'm trying to commit to this, but life work is exhausting already

I work your standard "9-5" (which is really 8-5) As a product manager in construction I try and record on a Saturday and then spend the next week over nights editing for my weekly Monday upload Making sure to balance filming editing with playing videogames and spending time with my wife (which is why it takes me a week to edit a 4-8 minute
Why is it called a 9 to 5 when most office jobs are 8 to 5? Plus things like the internet have made the need to be operational specifically between 9-5 less important Nowadays though, 9-5 is more or less just a catchphrase to say you work 8-10 hours every day at an hourly job that you usually don't consider to be your career (though some people will still use it)
