Can anyone suggest a decent website link to detailed up to date rail network map I'm interested in names of junctions, crossings, sidings etc with regard to looking up local historical associations I'm aware of traksy, raildar, signalbox etc but think there maybe some undiscovered gems!

Is there such a thing as online and downloadable UK rail maps Not a Quail persa but something more akin to Trackatlas of Mainland Britain but online and with it being able to be downloaded onto a mobile device like a tablet? Something similar to the excellent Schweers and Wall type of atlas which also shows closed line

The map below shows it Rugby station is just off the map to the right the WCML heads north off the top of the map and the main Rugby - Coventry line heads east off the left side of the map The spur ends in a suburb call New Bilton, and looks like it may have served the cement plant (now Cemex) or maybe the quarry gravel pit that it is

According to Rail Map online under the "Modern Railways" filter, the only direct link between Stratford Int and the rest of the UK network I can find is with the WCML via a single track connecting to the North London Line just north of STP Other than that, I can't find any link with the ECML that wouldn't require reversing at STP

There's a lot written online about the geology of the area, but I can find very little about the railway connection, bar a few sources vaguely mentioning sidings which "may" still be seen in the Reigate area I suspect the Madeira [Walk] Sandpit, as you call it, may once have been what is referred to as the Doods Road Pit, mined by a Mr Apted
