The Mindstorms NXT GUI, NXT-G, is distributed on a CD and is not available without the Mindstorms NXT kit It's not explicitly stated, but you can think of the license included in the price (although what the actual licensing terms are I don't know) In any case LEGO does not offer it for download

I started coding using NXT software and later EV3 and lately I have switched to java using leJOS EV3 software ( and NXT ) is great for quickly hacking your ideas but when things get ugly the graphical language doesn't help at all

I have installed the retail version of the NXT software Due to pitiful performance on my Mac (OSX 10 7 Lion) I followed guidance on other forums and uninstalled Flash 11 and reinstalled 10 Now when I start the application, I get the following error:

9 NXT kits ; 4 EV3 kits; 2 Renewable Energy Kits and Temperature sensors; My problem is that on the NXT units, the only version of the software which supports the Renewable energy temperature sensors is 2 1, which does not appear to be an upgrade to 2 0, but is instead a education site licence version like the ones I have for NXT 1 0 and EV3
