As someone who played Oblivion way back in the day before I think there was even a NMM I used Wrye Bash for installing my mods I've decided To try out Skyrim VR and it seems like Vortex has become the popular mod manager While rare I have seen people mention wrye bash or bash patch My question is how do I use Wrye Bash and Vortex together?

Certain versions of Win 10 cause Wrye Bash within MO2 to fail loading Win 10 updates 1809 and above have resolved this issue My win 10 was stuck on update 1803 and I ran into this problem Troubleshooting wasn't easy since Wrye Bash people refuse to acknowledge or help with the problem Found the above solution in the MO2 Github

this will disable Wyre Bash merging of Plugins that are not Leveled Lists 1 thing to note: the mods it asks to merge are primarily Patches for mods so theoretically these should be fine to merged, as long as they are in the correct place in the load order, as the bash patch will still use the Load Order i believe

In step 2 I kinda combined a few leveled lists and I successfuly created a bash patch The think is, in the wyre bash program, the mods that were used for wyre bash appear "checked" (in Wyre Bash and in NNM), but the mods that are out of Bash Patch appear with a "+" symbol in Wyrebash but are not checked in NMM (they have a blank square)

Hello there! To get to the point, my Wrye Bash seems to be unable to detect my Mod Organizer's mods for my Skyrim For some reason, it's trying to read Fallout 4, but all my directories aim towards Skyrim, which is odd If your Wrye Bash works, perhaps we can compare directories or something? Any other ideas are appreciated Thanks

I have not and will not any time soon update from Skyrim Se I did the best of both worlds down grade some time back So have the first lot of Anniversary mods Sorting out a new mods list and got to creating a bashed patch Wyre Bash has to know where your game install is and the version it is When I generate a bashed patch it has the version

Only reason to add bash tags is to ensure that certain data is carried over into the bashed patch And if you do add bash tags, the bashed patch will need to be rebuilt to ensure that the tags work correctly and that will wipe any manual edits already done
