The receiver on a G3 (and its clones civilian models) is a single piece of stamped-and-folded steel, so I don't actually think you can replace it, except for buying a new one But I don't think you'll live long enough to need to, either Rollers on the bolt and or the barrel, around 10K rounds before you might want to think about replacement

H59 to G3, hummmm, completely different ends of the spectrum almost Unless you have used an H59 in the field, I'd stick with the G3 Personally, I like the H59 for LR stuff but i think I'd really hate it for hunting

But that Ares BTR G3 2 5-15 has pretty much changed my mind about scopes lately It's just too good and a lot can be done on 15x I don't have a many rifles and some of them I don't shoot often enough to justify better scopes on so I'm at a stand still right now Basically I'll stay with the HG2's for the immediate future as "good enough"
