- Acetabular Fractures - Trauma - Orthobullets
Acetabulum fractures are pelvis fractures that involve the articular surface of the hip joint and may involve one or two columns, one or two walls, or the roof within the pelvis
- T-type - AO Foundation Surgery Reference
This pattern combines a transverse component with a stem which exits either through the obturator ring or - in unusual cases - at various levels through the ischium
- Radiographic Evaluation Classification of Acetabular Fractures
Posterior hemitransverse fracture component typically has vertical (anterior-posterior) direction, reminiscent of transverse pattern1 On axials, extends posteriorly from the coronal anterior column fracture
- Transverse, Transverse-Posterior and T-Shape Acetabular Fractures
Diagnose and appropriately characterize the transverse family of acetabular fractures Understand the surgical indications, goals, and start to plan definitive treatment including sequencing, approaches, reduction strategies, and implant selection
- Acetabular Fractures: Anatomic and Clinical Considerations - AJR
The T-type fracture is a three-part associated fracture pattern that will also show a sagittally oriented fracture line at the roof of the acetabulum; however, this fracture will also extend inferiorly to disrupt the obturator ring, splitting the inferior component into anterior and posterior halves (Fig 10)
- The T-Shaped Fractures of the Acetabulum - Hilaris Publishing SRL
It is defined as a transverse acetabulum fracture in combination with a vertical fracture that divides the posterior column from the anterior column (Figure 1)
- Sacral Fractures - Trauma - Orthobullets
Sacral fractures are common pelvic ring injuries that are under-diagnosed and often associated with neurologic compromise Diagnosis can made with pelvis radiographs but frequently require pelvic CT scan for full characterization
- Acetabular Fracture T Shaped Fracture – Dr. Nabil Ebraheims Blog
Where do you see the vertical stem of the T-shaped fracture? If you see extension of a transverse fracture of the acetabulum through the medial wall of the acetabulum and the fracture is going through the obturator ring, then this is a T-shaped fracture
