LabCE is not the best choice for studying IMO I would focus on using study books I personally thought the “Success! In clinical laboratory science” book was helpful LabCE could be good to check where your weak areas are, but it’s so different compared to the exam that it should definitely not be the main sole study resource

I used LabCE and practiced with the adaptive as well as the subject exams I also studied the BOC book and the lecture material and notes from my program I passed first time after nine days of studying full time LabCE was definitely helpful in addition to other study materials

LabCE is pretty accurate with your results and even some of the questions in the exam You WILL know halfway through the exam whether you passed or not Don’t over study and don’t cram prior to test day You’ll be fine!! Keep on studying and best of luck!

LabCE is easier Most of the questions on the MLS ASCP are more like (1) what would you do next, (2) what is the diagnosis, applied type questions I had 3 ANAs on my ASCP exam and they looked nothing like the ones in MediaLab All the chemistry and heme questions seemed to ask what went wrong in the scenario or what the diagnosis was

The BOC question pool feels targeted towards certain categories when you simulate an exam so you get a lot of ‘repeat’ questions asking the same thing whereas the labCE was more comprehensive If I were to pick one over the other, I’d stick with the labCE simulator but I utilized both and benefited from using both
