Today, in 2024, I landed here as I was unable to move video files by dragging them from Adobe Bridge to another folder (in Explorer, Win11) Reason being "The action can't be completed becausethe file is open in dynamiclinkmediaserver exe" Leaving solution here in case somebody else in the future is facing the same problem:

After working with Adobe Support for several hours, we uncovered a solution to the issue: When using Photoshop and other Adobe products, I was using a Local User account on my Windows machine

I tried renaming the file (dynamiclinkmediaserver-stop) and Lightroom opened normally with no issues The file doesn't get recreated and I was still able to navigate my video folder inside Lightroom without a problem That process is no longer in my Activity Monitor now I'll keep it this way and monitor any possible issue
