The outage map so far has shown no outages in my area when I check, but about half of the time after I report it I do get a text "We fixed the issue impacting Xfinity Internet in your area " a couple of hours after it is restored The other half of the time I get this text, "We didn't find an outage associated with your Xfinity service

When it goes out, I can restart the modem but the internet connection doesn't come back It will only return after a certain amount of time The app typically says something like "You're currently unaffected by an outage in your area " And when I sign in and look at the "current outage" status map, it always shows all good

You can force a failover by disconnecting the coax from the Comcast modem This will definitely trigger it, you just need to reconnect it after the outage has resolved Depending on the nature of the issue, the Xfinity phone service may have been totally down as a result of the outage and may not have worked, even with the failover

A half hour later when I went to read my e-mail - they were all gone I checked several other folders and ALL EMAILS FROM 2024 PLUS EMAILS GOING BACK TO JUNE of 2023 are GONE!!!! I looked online and the Comcast e-mail server is down but I don't understand why it would take half of my already read (and stored in folders) emails

thank you for explaining but I'm not sure that really helps I checked out the outage map today and it looks identical to the on yesterday except for the green box above the map that says everything ok where yesterday it was a red box saying there was a problem
