Disk Management opens following the system restore, but an external SSD onto which I copied a lot of data now is not opening although it is displayed as one of the drives That is why I wanted to use Disk Management

I'm not sure if this would apply to you, but on numerous occasions I have had similar issues with Disk Management The best I can tell, all of these were the result of Disk Management having trouble reading\accessing a connected drive If you have more than one drive attached, you might try removing them and see what happens
