Ok i dont use diode lasers but run both 100w Co2 and mopa fiber Rule one is find your focal point So do a ramp or dot test to get optimal focus and then you can start your settings Higher power and slower speed will give you cuts Sometimes double passes ate better and dont forget to lower focus into material on second or further passes

For the range, I suggest using your normal focus method as a starting point, then using the “Get Positions” button on the Move window to figure out the Z height that gives you, then make a focus test of Z-5 to Z+5 or Z-10 to Z+10 (for example) to figure out if your existing focus height is ideal or not

ill have a look later at the videos thank you for that, i still think its a settings issue i got told by the “engineer” in China to make sure homing was on the Z axis and home offset was set at 7mm the focus distance, so basically the Z bed homes to the limit trigger which is the autofocus probe, and yes that now works, it goes up and down a couple of times, but then th eZ bed doesnt stop
