You could try withholding your number when you call, to see if it helps Or even try from a phone box, if you can find one

Report it as a phone fault using the phone fault repair number 0800 800 151 Do not mention the broadband fault, as that will result in it going into the wrong queue, and will delay the repair

Used to be open 24 7 - 365 Days a Year Wasn’t perfect but it worked and the Helpdesk Agents were trained to understand line faults conditions They could have raised a Welfare Cases directly with Openreach for the fault to be bumped up to a CL4, aka Care Level 4
