A spare laptop with Win10H has ver 1903, build 18362 295 on it I haven't used it in a while (you can tell can't you?) and I'm trying to update it to ver 22H2 The problem is that it is taking bl**dy ages (yesterday, installation got to 87% after at least 12 hours and yes, the HDD light is flickering indicating *some* sort of activity)

How would I use that ISO on a USB stick to perform an update from 1809 to 1903, and NOT do a repair install or reinstall? A repair install is just an 'upgrade' to the same version as you already have (1809 to 1809) The upgrade to 1903 from 1809 works exactly the same way

1903 is a good build- the last one before MS made changes to file explorer search (and initially messed it up badly in 1909) If you read the 'What's new' articles in the News section on 1909 and 2004, I doubt you'd find much you're missing

Apparenetly, in 1903, they've added a dedicated Downloads template --- prior to this, the Generic template was used by the Downloads folder And, as you've noticed, it defaults to GroupBy DateModifed
