I have a Wells Fargo Platinum Applied for a Cash Wise earlier this year with a 797 Experian Fico 8 score and got denied because I have "too many credit card accounts" I called for a recon, and was advised that I STILL have too many credit card accounts I now have more None of which are from Wells Fargo Good luck!

Most recent denial with wells fargo was a 841 850 for me if that says anything and 4 24 was at time of most recent denial Others have been approved 670+ for WF's card it isn't all about score but many factors

Thanks for the info I have always been a big fan of product changes to maintain a credit card's original opening date I think worrying about a SUB by creating a new account is often short-sighted A product change can have some other distinct advantages-- about two years ago I product changed a then 15 year old no rewards WF card to WF active

I don't think score really decides whether any lender persay will approve you being 8 9 or whatever score version it is more-so what is in your credit report profile A few exceptions might be Syncrony as their limits are very score driven, but still depends on ones profile
