- JAGUAR, 3DO, AND THE CDI - Atari Jaguar - AtariAge Forums
But take away all the FMV stuff and non-game software from the 3DO and it has about the same size library as the Jag, if we include the Jag CD and games and all the home-brews as well as carts All that being said, my Jaguar and 3DO have lived side-by-side since '97, and compliment each other and I have to choose BOTH of them

- What have you been up to lately with your 3DO?
The 3DO had all of the hardware power to do much better if it were paired with more consistently well-developed and polished games EA did a good job with support, but they dropped the ball on some of the releases, like NHL Hockey, they promised and never delivered Of course, that was not unusual on the 3DO, and certainly far worse on the Jaguar
- Jaguar vs. 3DO? - Atari Jaguar - AtariAge Forums
But getting back to your more better games, yeah, the 3DO has twice as many games as the Jaguar, not counting the instructional video software crap, but JUST games Your right, the 3DO has MORE good games than the Jaguar, becuase of it's larger library, but it also has more BAD games becuase of it's larger library
- What is the technical Power Gap between the 3DO and the Atari Jaguar . . .
The 3DO is a lot more open and you can freely use the system specifications and build on that over time The Jaguar got its better looking games during its life span early while 3DO or Playstation got their later, though the 3Do was still cut short to say it was the best it could do
- Specs Question: Was the Jaguar ACTUALLY stronger than the 3DO?
Existing 3DO 3D software does much more than existing Jaguar software and is firmly within the 32-bit generation realm 3D Jaguar games look and feel much more like higher end 16-bit generation I don't know how many 3DO 2D games weren't 60fps, but you still had more technically impressive games on 3DO, other than Rayman for Jaguar
- Definitive guide to burning 3DO games? - AtariAge Forums
My 3do will have a progressively harder time seeking and reading the data from my burned discs the longer it's on After about an hour it will crash every time If I give it a "rest" and turn it off every 1 2 hour or so it will plug along just fine
- Is the 3DO worth getting? - AtariAge Forums
the 3do, in my very good opinion is a great system to have and xperience anyone who hasnt tried the 3do ever, must give it a shot Like oesii said, the 3do can surprise anyone greta system that could definitly have given the saturn and psx some good competition, but thatdamn hefty price tag doomed the company and system from day one
