- The RB Engines: 383 - 413 - 426 - 440 | Allpar Forums
The 1963 Ramcharger V8s (413 and 426) had numerous performance and reliability features, according to Dodge: How do you identify these engines? Just to the right of the distributor is a bit of smooth steel which has a number code stamped in it The first line has a letter for the year (D = 1968) and the three digits for displacement (e g 440)
- Max Wedge: Maximum Output - Allpar Forums
Max Wedge: Maximum Output by Steve Boelhouwer During the 1960s, more innovative engine ideas flowed out of Chrysler than from any other auto manufacturer Though many of the engines produced in the late 1950s laid the groundwork for what was to come, the Max Wedge, launched in 1962

The Cross-Ram Wedge (Long Ram 413): 1959 Dyno Tests Peak horsepower across both tests was 289, not bad for a 1959 engine; corrected horsepower reached 303 hp at 4,400 rpm, while corrected torque reached a whopping 464 lb-ft at a mere 3,000 rpm The final 1960 413 engine produced 375 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque
- 413 compatability???? | Allpar Forums
I'm thinking that the 413 is a RB (raised B block) As all RB's had a 3 75 stroke, the cranks and rods are dimensionally the same Probably the same with the intake B blocks had a shorter deck height and shorter stroke (361-383-400) Shorter deck means B and RB intakes don't interchange Thanks Randy Good info here and about the heads above
