Frictional is a great horror studio that even when they miss a bit still make really interesting games SOMA, Penumbra: Black Plague, and Amnesia: The Bunker I think are the crown jewels of Frictional IMO, but Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Penumbra: Overture, and Amnesia: Justine are still really good experiences too Amnesia Rebirth Penumbra

Amnesia is cool and I do assume they still enjoy working on those games, but Soma was just so far beyond it artistically in my eyes I'm so happy to see them hinting at something that looks like it's kind of in a similar vein, at least in terms of ambition and risk taking

Amnesia The Bunker is pretty fantastic for something more recent Still Wakes the Deep if you don't mind more walking sim adjacent stuff Not super duper scary necessarily but it's a good horror story and very well acted
