The remaining two Amsoil filters I had on the shelf are in the garage's trash can The last OCI, I continued using Amsoil SS, but a different filter brand I chose Pentius, but I'm pretty sure Premium Guard and MicroGard Select use the same construction methods Double-check these last two are the correct brand and models should you go that route

- Mobil 1 0w40 vs Amsoil OE 0w40 | BobIsTheOilGuy
Amsoil OE is a GrpIII base stock oil while Mobil 1 0w40 is a GrpIV I believe Both oils should get the Job done for your application That’s the thing, Mobil 1 seems to change their formulas around quite a bit with this particular oil…last time I checked it was around 40% PAO, which is pretty impressive to me

Amsoil doesn't encourage extending OCI without UOAs, or in severe service conditions They also recommend regular filter intervals and there are qualifications on 100K+ cars I don't do super extended changes, but their recommendations, if followed, are sound; there are several 20-27K miles OCI documented on this site

Amsoil has 2 0W-20's that are API-certified, the 'XL' and 'OE' 0W-20 IF you want to go with Amsoil, maybe choose one of those I'm not an Amsoil user, but Amsoil fans seem to react pretty violently when the possible warranty implications of using Signature Series are brought up
