Yes, I have Optimum and it works pretty good Though when I got service installed, they gave me one of their garbage Ubee modem routers which dropped its connection constantly I ended up buying my own Arris modem and installing a Ubiquity Edgerouter X and UniFi access point

I'm on Optimum Fiber 1Gig for internet only, so I can't speak to how it works with cable boxes I had them put the ONT router in bridge mode so I could use my own networking equipment I've had it for almost a year now, and I consistently get advertised speeds up and down without issue, and I've never had an outage yet
