On another forum, someone posted a link to one of the pages of ar15 barrels website, describing a straight walled 5 56 case with a 357 bullet, called 357 Rimless and then on a search, found some posts by the guy who owns that website turns out the AR magazine design is what is preventing the larger bullets from feedig reliably due to the deep ribs for the bottleneck 5 56 cartridges

The 16-4 is 32 H R Magnum, the extra cylinder was in 32-20 Win which had been made by Wisner's in Adna, Wash I think the 32-20 cyl had started as a 22 LR K frame cylinder It worked fine The only thing about it was, apparently Wisner's didn't have a 32-20 Win reamer, so they created the bottleneck effect by machining several steps

I always liked the 357 sig in theory because the bottleneck cartridge should feed better than a straight wall ( or even slightly tapered) case Unfortunately, that round never really caught on Maybe it'll come around eventually

Are there any 9mm wildcats, and if not, why not? There's bottlenecked pistol calibers from 25naa ( 32acp necked down to hold a 25acp bullet) up to 440corbon ( 50ae necked down to hold a 44mag bullet), but I don't recall ever seeing any 9mm wildcats, which I find odd since 9mm is the most
