Beast Academy: This is a complete math curriculum with both a comic book style text and workbook It doesn’t really matter if you are reviewing material in it, as every chapter starts basic and gets very thoughtful and challenging It’s my favorite of the three, by far, for enrichment, but it almost requires a degree of parental involvement

The AoPS classes pretty closely follow the Beast Academy textbooks for 2nd-5th grade, and then the AoPS pre-Algebra and beyond for the other classes The kids do 1 hr 45 minute classes with teacher led instruction, problems, reinforcing activites, and so on, and then they get about an hour of homework each week

We started doing the level 2 Beast Academy books (my daughter is a rising 2nd grader), but I've had to supplement the teaching in the book a good deal The lessons are fast paced and my daughter needs more hands-on examples (like using hundreds, tens, and ones blocks for larger number addition)

Beast Academy is really high quality and exactly addresses the need to challenge a math loving child without moving them so far ahead conceptually that they'll just be extra bored later on

Beast Academy is a graphic novel that teaches math concepts and work books AoPS uses those materials but has a weekly class that is 1 hour 45 minutes long and there is homework that kids complete online

Will either prepare your kid from 3rd-5th to be able to join advanced math levels in 6th-8th at school? Which course will better prep the kids for math in high school? My impression is that Russian School is its own curriculum that's really focused on algebra, but not the way you would take Algebra I or II in school And Beast Academy seems to like puzzles and dimensional thinking, and will
