- Bolt - Propulsion Power Reduced - Codes P0AEE, P9BD2, P0BDC
The Chevrolet Bolt is a recent arrival on the electric car market, and it wouldn’t be unusual for a service tech at a Chevy dealer to have not yet seen one (doesn’t necessarily mean the tech hasn’t worked on Volts, just that the tech hadn’t yet seen an all-electric Chevy model)
- Chevy Bolt EV Underhood Coolants and Fluids | GM Volt Forum
Here is the underhood fluid fill points for the 2017 Bolt Three separately managed thermal loops, for the cabin heater, lithium-ion battery, and power electronics team (on-board charger, power inverter module, and auxiliary 14V power module) As with the Volt these heating cooling systems
- Test drove a Bolt: Bolt vs Volt | GM Volt Forum
Volt is more upscale, but Bolt can be forgiven because its whole focus is max battery life to allow for max range If the Bolt did not look like the gross child between a station wagon and a minivan, I would have done it But instead it looks like it got the bad end of the ugly stick 5 times over And what was GM thinking with that shock color?
- Bolt EV Spare Tire FAQ - GM Volt Forum
The Chevy Bolt comes with 17" x 6 5J offset 44, cast aluminum wheels with Michelin all-season Energy Saver A S 215 50R17 The tires are ~25-7 16" diameter These are self-sealing tires, except for punctures on the outer edges of the tread or in the sidewall So, you may need a spare, whether to
- Bolt EV Maintenance Schedule - GM Volt Forum
2017 Chevrolet Bolt Maintenance Schedule Owner Checks and Services Once a Month • Check the tire inflation pressures See Tire Pressure • Inspect the tires for wear See Tire Inspection • Check the windshield washer fluid level See Washer Fluid Required Services Every 12 000 km 7,500 mi
- 2021 Bolt EUV - GM Volt Forum
The Bolt EUV is slated for Summer 2021, so say 7 months minimum before you could drive one away I suspect Chevy will have identified the Bolt EV battery issue before then and will have either issued a hardware-based or software-based (both?) recall
- 2017 Chevy Bolt Battery Cooling and Gearbox Details
Running at highway speeds requires ~20kW of power At ~5% loss the batteries heat at ~1kW, so heat must be extracted from the battery at an average rate of ~1kW The Volt's 18kWh battery is ~3x smaller than the Bolt's 60kWh battery, requiring dense cooling fins The much larger Bolt battery has a much easier time getting rid of the heat
- Bolt EV Regen in D vs. L modes - GM Volt Forum
At very slow speeds there's little to no regen so I'm thinking the Bolt must apply negative torque to the drive wheels in order to stop completely - and of course that would use battery power So perhaps some kind owner could check the power meter while decelerating in "L" mode to see if it goes from regen to discharge as the speed drops to 0
