I believe the current Carquest filters, both the red and blue, except for the hydraulic filters are made by Premium Guard They are souced from several different countries, mostly China and Vietnam, and some from India Here are the current filters The red is a multi-pack filter and the blue is a one packaged for retail

Carquest Premium had a slightly lighter baseplate (170 vs 195g for STP) but CQP had one extra groove for threads CQP is in the bottom here

I used the carquest quick struts on my old cr-v when I totalled it (the first time) and had to rebuild the front end I didn't have any issues with them
