I was rewatching "the future is wild" recently and got to the part with the megasquid and whatnot Usually the documentary gives pretty good explanations behind the creatures and their evolution, but for the megasquid they just kinda said "maybe cephalopods will become the dominant land creatures in 200 million years", without explaining how they could do so
