I agree this is a modern asian 'confection' It looks (to me) as if someone had an old slate case, perhaps from a French clock, and then added modern Chinese cloisonne embellishments and reproduction dial, put in a cheap asian movement and then that odd statue on the top I wouldn't buy it, but I suppose it may have novelty appeal to some

Thanks, I was also thinking after one of the other members had suggested it trying to get a complete chime block and just working with that, but the only problem with that is that this clock uses a 4 rod chime block assembly, and all of the ones I've seen available on the internet (at least at Timesavers anyways) are 5 rod chime blocks or more, and none of them go down to 4-rod chime blocks
