I’ve been waiting for a colposcopy since abnormal cell change HPV results in May this year My GP’s letter said I’d receive an appointment within 8 weeks 10 weeks later I call my GP to ask when I’ll receive a letter and I’ve been advised 10-12 months I then came across the Glasgow Times article that mentions a 52 week wait

I went for a colposcopy 5 weeks ago The Dr said that sometimes HPV can make the cells look abnormal and it can take time to fight it off, even after lletz! Unfortunately, some types of HPV causes more cell changes than others He wasn’t worried and said he couldn’t see any abnormalities, but he took a biopsy just for reassurance I am still waiting for the results I can understand how

- 5% of people who still have HPV after Cell removal
After 6 months I had another smear which showed I still had HPV but after another colposcopy no abnormal cell I was told that in 95% of cases after treated to removal cells HPV goes but I am in the 5% of women that this has not happened too

Hello all, I’m waiting for biopsy results after colposcopy, my smear results showed hpv+ and high grade (severe) dyskaryosis Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since colposcopy and hysteroscopy, I had a uterine polyp removed at the same time as the colposcopy and that was sent for analysis at the same time as the cervix biopsy I had a letter at the weekend with an appt for Tuesday 18th but it doesn
