I’m assuming that this conversation is about Craftsman date codes I’ve been all over the net just looking at these forums I believe that some are correct and some are wrong when they date their machines My Craftsman table saw is a 113 298761, so it’s made by Emerson The date code is 92211 0470

I bought a used craftsman 6" jointer Ran fine for a few times but this past week I ran one board through it fine and turned it off for a minute When I tried to turn it on again, the motor hums but does not spin The motor and the blade assembly spin freely by hand I took the motor off the jointer and tried it and it started up fine

I sold my craftsman set to my brother last year and got a kobalt set from Lowes Very happy with it Nothing wrong with my 15 yr old craftsman set, just wanted a change I like the markings better for sae vs metric and we dont have a sears anymore We do have an ace though which still carries a good line of craftsman tools

Craftsman was the go-to brand for decades, but as Sears began its decline, Lowe's and Home Depot seemed more than capable of filling the demand with their respective Kobalt and Husky brands It may be subjectiveness on my part, but I've always considered Lowe's house brand to be more of a spiritual successor to Craftsman's dominance than Husky

Not that the Craftsman drills are bad, but the Milwaukee tools are pretty awesome!! Plus the fact you have M18 batteries already you could sell some of the Cman tools and batteries on Craiglist or Ebay and use that money to buy some bare tools from Milwaukee
