After I returned the car, the host reported damages to his car, and then suddenly I was informed that I would have to pay for another $1200 - just for a windshield crack It turns out that Turo do not actually pay for anything when any damages occur during rental time Whatever the host claims, Turo was deducting that amount off of my credit card

Turo can be profitable if run like a business and not a hobby Meaning, your car needs to be available most (if not all month) and you will need to identify many ways to keep costs down It is not a high margin business model, so generating as much rental income and keeping expenses low are a must

Now, this wasn't with Turo this was with a major rental chain: I replaced the tire but they weren't OK with that, they wanted to use "their" tires I asked for the tire back and they gave it to me I had that one random brand new tire for years kicking around until I offered it to a tire shop that bought it from me for a reduced price
