- Cropping or not. . . : r handbrake - Reddit
The problem of over-cropping seems to occur most frequently in cases where a project changes aspect ratios throughout — but I haven’t thoroughly tested that with the new “conservative” crop setting
- I made a tool for bulk preprocessing training images
After cropping, they would become two new images with dimensions 1440x1440 and 1024x1024, respectively This approach is ideal for people who wish to preserve the highest resolution images for future use, such as for SDXL or other software applications
- How do you shrink an image without having it being cropped . . . - Reddit
In this case, you are scaling down the the frame, not the image - which of course results in cropping I either use the method described by u rach-roberts (learning the various most-used fitting shortcuts makes this a breeze) or resize with the FreeTransform tool (E)

- Cropping photos: When you crop your photos, do you keep . . . - Reddit
I love unusual cropping ratios (e g really long photos) or sometimes the perfect crop is just sliiiiiiightly not the standard size, but adding a border saves the photos (sometimes I do non-white but a very very very light pastel in a colour that matches the photo's colour scheme, especially for bothanical pics)
- General question regarding Megapixels count. What amount of cropping . . .
I'd agree with your overall assessment and alternative solutions I know a lot of wildlife shooters also think you're better off with a TC than just extreme cropping, but ofc on the 180-600mm that's going to be putting you into pretty low apertures and likely negatively affecting the AF performance (thus opening the gap even wider to those superior bodies)
- How do I crop an image without cropping all the layers?
Target the one layer that you feel needs cropping Ctrl+t brings up the free transform bounding box If your version of Ps keeps the stuff on the layer in scale when dragging a corner handle without hold the Shift key, great If you see it distorting, press ESC and start over, this time holding Shift while dragging a corner handle
