A 22x10 wood prop (Xoar, etc ) would be a great match for the DLE 55 on a warbird I get more rpms and speed on a carbon prop, but I avoid running them on warbirds in case the retracts do not work properly A prop strike with a carbon prop could damage the engine I would never run a 4-bladed prop on anything but the smaller foam planes

having said that I don't think you have enough exit area The so called rule is 3:1- that's what is talked about on the DA video But I have or have had DLE 120s and DA 120s and have never baffled a cowl, or use tri stock, and have never had a problem I just make sure there's lot of airspace down below at minimum I would open up the cowl

Do the reed valve no change Anyway eventualy it came around Ive had a 20, 30, 35, DL50, 55 and a 111 so not unfamiliar with DLE and gas engines in general as thats all Ive flown since around the early 90s and this 35 was the toughest DLE to hand start Ive ever had

So you have a dle 55? Lets make it run like a DA Remove these two bolts And take note of the orientation of the reed block, and port location that goes to the carb Thats a slap of marble I had laying around 320 wet sand paper on the left and 400 on the right for finishing Reed Block Before

Anyone know how to fix Gas leaking dripping for the Carb on a DLE-170? The Engine is new, has been fired up but the damn thing leaks gass like crazy, a drop a second The plane is the E G Raven 122", the tank sits above the fuel tube so the line does dip a bit to go the carb, but almost every other plan I have had the same scenario exists
