I have a problem with receiving SMS at the login stage It is 2nd day I can not access to my account I receive SMS from different providers, only Paypal has an issue

Anyone know why Paypal asks to add my number whenever I login into my paypal account? I understand the part about sending me a text with the code to my number but why i specifically have to reenter my number I've already added a mobile number upon creating my account for added security so I'm not sure why it asks for me to add one each and everytime I login
