I've had a dynaflite Decathlon for about one year now I built it totally as per the plans I even used the three piece cowl and wheel pants My engine is a US 41 with the built-in starter spring on the back The engine fits perfectly and did not need to be spaced forward at all I kept the receiver where the rear seat would be on the real plane

but Decathlon is even much more diffcult to build and need much more Ultracote YAK54 does not need to build wing structure, paint Landing gear , paint spinner, no windows, no door, not so many CF wing tube, etc YAK54 fuselage is smaller than Decathon but we still sell it at lower price because it use 50cc engine

Judging by your RCU name, I'd say the Decathlon, but not knowing your experience level make me nervous The Decathlon is NOT a second, or even a third RC plane in my opinion Take offs with it can be a real bear due to the short coupling, and they can snap in an instant if you slow it down too much on landing Dennis-

I just received my 40% Pilot Decathlon I'm planning on setting it up (over the Winter) with a 3W106, smoke, HiTec 7955 servos, Smart-Fly Power System Eq6 and Duralite 4300mAh Li-Mn batteries If anyone has the 40% Pilot Decathlon or is planning to assemble one, please let me know I'm sure I can use some help and I'm happy to share my ideas

RE: Building a Dynaflite Super Decathlon I trimmed back the bottom at the firewall, and I see I will have to move that 1st bottom former further back from the stock location The motor seems to tuck in there alright though
