Dover is being acquired by an investment firm, and taken private I thought this was particularly interesting after their recent Dressage Extensions acquisition, and opening several new stores Wonder if they’ll finally change their shipping policies under new ownership? I love their stores, but the shipping prices make me reluctant to buy online

Dover bought Libertyville Saddle Shop, which is about a 40 minute drive from me I like to take the occasional trip down there, usually combined with a visit to Northbrook Court or Old Orchard

I’ve been thinking of working part time at a Dover Saddlery retail store and am wondering how folks who work there like it Are the hours flexible? Can you get time off for events like horse shows? What is the employee discount? And just the general atmosphere and experience?

I have read posts that say the older (Big Ben) were great but am seeing mixed thoughts on the quality of the ones Dover is now crafting I am looking for a hunter jumper saddle that needs to be wide tree possibly adjustable gullet Obviously I am trying to stay at or below $1,000 I am 5’11’’ and my horse is a Belgian
