Yes, but much like older EDF titles, you can't summon them They appear in some missions but not all, and the vast majority of the game is infantry combat Available vehicle types include two types of mech (Nix's and one from the older games, I think 2017?), a singular type of tank, Barga and Balam (in the DLC)

Interesting, I still haven't completed most missions with WD in EDF 5 because I can't find weapons that suit me, I love heavy firepower even if they're clumsy to use (that's why I main Fencer), thus I usually gravitate towards the plasma big cannons, but like 80% of her other weapons feel incredibly situational or just outright bad

Chikyū Bōeigun Ohh so this was the original title of EDF, yeah I remember playing Monster Attack and Global Defense Force, those two games were my literal introduction to EDF series during my childhood, as for 4 1 I love the graphics (extremely dark environment which made you rely on flashlight) it had and the voice acting (terrifyingly blood-curdling civilian scream) as well, EDF 5 doesn't

In the new trailer, one of the voices sounds like the same voice actor for EDF 5 as a generic soldier Also on the page for this one, the developer is Sandlot, so hopefully the rest of the previous voice actors return for this version
