A’s Map Edit which DOES let you create new destinations, which lets me add new map areas onto Earthbound, but it won’t save an Ex-hi ROM, not compatible, and for some reason any ROM using the uncensored patch that is saved in Map Edit = mass doors scattered throughout the whole map randomly, meaning Ness can’t leave his own bedroom

As expected, Earthbound is one of those text-heavy RPG games, and NOA sure gave us a somewhat different version of what Itoi intended Some of the major changes are: References to Earthbound Earthbound 2 changed to MOTHER 2 MOTHER 3 (References to the games are written all in caps)

The more anime I watched, the more I realized this phenomena of weird, bad, or otherwise unexplainable endings extended far past evangelion into roughly around (lets say) 70% of all animes Purchasing a PS2 made me realize that this included jRPGs as well Perhaps that’s why I found Earthbound so refreshing

Naturally, I was looking for an EarthBound soundfont and was really hoping for some artists doing new things with the sounds (especially since that’s what the OST did, with things like horn samples of Beatles songs warped into the foreboding Cave That Time Forgot) I soon realized lots of other EB fans are looking as well
