I got exctoplasm on my first few game hours of doing this But I also did the same thing for a much longer time farming the burglars ring and never got ectoplasm I'm not sure if it's an event specific drop or not, I'm thinking it is, but if not good luck Eitherway this is probably the best way Ifnothing else can load up on some coal

I did this quest countless times and could not get the ectoplasm until I had the Burglar's Ring Monster Musk did not seem to work for me: according to the wiki, it doubles the amount of monsters on the level when you enter it, and there were always tons of slimes, bats and dust sprites, but only one ghost per level

I used every single day to go to the mine and try to farm ghosts to give me the ectoplasm and I haven't received a single one It's the last day now and I keep repeating the day by just exiting and coming back and going back in the mine I keep on repeating floors 51-79 and get some ghosts, but not a single ectoplasm Am I doing something wrong?

Ghost deck makes ectoplasm much less valuable, decreasing the urgency of using it whenever it shows up Without the second ecto I could've built up one more cryptids per round which would pay off in time, plus I havent been able to find another showman or invis joker to make the extra joker slot worth :

shadow cleft double drops from some of the wafts floating around I always farm a bit when I go there for the daily and end up making 1000 or so just from those things lol ghost enemies in there too drop them sometime

Margarte tells you where to find the ectoplasm If there's some reason you don't want to do what she suggests, then go get your own from any old ghost Or buy them from alchemists in other cities And yes, much of the guild quests are busy work Just like they are in Skyrim But they tend to have a narrative thread that kicks in around halfway
