Hello thanks for your post I'm thinking I need to up my dose I'm 25 and have been on 50mg for nearly three months but just lately I feel really panicy and upset but when I first started the sertraline I wasn't sleeping I was waking up every hour crying with hot sweats it was so horrible so I'm really scared to up my dose but I haven't felt right for a long time any advice will be helpful xx

so sorry to hear you had such fast, severe reaction to the sertraline it is not a medication for the faint hearted sadly most MD don't prepare their patients for the side effects, the increases and the final tapering would help to tea search the medical sites to become aware of the advantages and disadvantages of this medication good luck hope it helps

Hi, I appreciate this is an old post but i started on 50mg of Sertraline in December 2023, and was increased to 100mg a few weeks ago ive been having muscle twitches all over my body and noticed that having bit of pain too in muscles i was terrified that it is a neurological disorder and been thinking the worse (should not have googled)

Rang the NHS 111, was passed from pillar to post between a few different mental health services and finally spoke to GP at about 9am He says I will get through this, to stick with the Sertraline and increase Diazapam The intention is only to take Diazapam short term to help alleviate the side effects of re-starting Sertraline

I went from citalopram to Zoloft I'm in early stages of Zoloft so I can't really speak from experience But if it makes you feel better I have most of the same side effects Zoloft gives me bathroom issues as well as makes me groggy dull feeling, but I'm sticking with it I think your side effects sound normal, but always check with your doc
