- Cowlitz River float - Washington Fly Fishing Forum
Yet here were a bunch of folks floating down river with no means of control other than paddling with their hands I'm including this story because hand paddling at 6500 cfs is no way to avoid sweepers and log jams in fast riffles My friends and I were spread out fishing a long run when two women floating by hanging on to one of those pool toy
- Which line with T-14? - Washington Fly Fishing Forum
With a floating head I use a floating running line There is a rather extensive section on shooting heads including LC-13, T-14 and DWE in our upcoming, "Fly-Fishing for Pacific Salmon II" How to figure out these lines is covered very concisely in a sidebar written by Bill Nash of San Jose, California

My father and I are thinking of floating the East Fork Lewis from just below Hwy 503 to Daybreak tomorrow, 3-8-09 We have a Clack fiberglass drift boat and floated it before the floods last year How has the flood changed the river? Are there any obstructions or tight places we need to be aware of?

- Floating the Lower Yakima Below Horn Rapids and 182 Bridge
I have caught a lot of smallmouth in the last few weeks and yes the best way is to float it as access is rather poor on the lower Yakima especially from Horn Rapids dam down stream Snively Road launch is good put in and there is a stretch of frog water that you will want to row through unless you want to spend all day floating
- Clark Fork River - St. Regis to Paradise Montana
We are planning on floating this area in three weeks on our way to the Missouri River for the Hopper hatch and some browns My wife is with me so loading up the camping gear and river side camp out is probably not going to work, but if there is an area where we can set up and then float to in the evening would be ideal
- Cheap Line Recomendation (under $50) - Washington Fly Fishing Forum
5 6wt weight forward floating line I would like to try to keep it cheap (I know, I know, I get what I pay for) If I can get it cheap enough, I might be able to get actual backing and ditch the twenty pound mono I have had on for years:thumb: I have looked through Kaufmans, and the Fly Shop catalogs, but I cant really choose one
- Tippets on Spey Lines | Washington Fly Fishing Forum
For dryline work I would reccomend using the floating 10' tip that comes with the line, a 10' polyleader, and 3'-5' of level mono Casting a short-head scandi is much easier when using a long (14'+) leader - the leader provides the anchor while the rest of the line is aerialized in the d-loop
