I also added a Fluval DC pump for 15 gal aquariums to increase the flow Filtration: I replaced the stock sponge filter and stock biological media in the second filter compartment with only biological filtration in mesh bags I used the Seachem Matrix media because it has the highest SA of any biological filtration media I know of

For all those curious I’m doing a review of the Fluval Marine reef 3 0 for a low tech light it’s pretty good, the app is decent although without a par meter you might find yourself lost adjusting the spectrums the light by itself will support softies however for any LPS and SPS corals I would strongly suggest extra lighting seems pretty

Hi everyone I'm still in the process of cycling my new tank and have recently purchased the Fluval marine 3 0 lights Would anybody mind sharing the settings youre using on the app that are giving you the best results I plan on having more coral than fish, and am currently running a nuvo 30L tank with about 30 lbs of live rock in it

I am looking at getting a second small tank and am trying to decide between the Fluval Evo 13 5 and the Innovative Marine 14 Peninsula There a $100 difference in the two set-ups (IM more expensive) and the Innovative Marine does not come with lights What are your thoughts on the two tanks?

I have the fluval evo and am in the process of upgrading the filter I have a protein skimmer in chamber 1 and got the InTank basket for chamber 2 I have chemi pure in the top, purigen in the middle and filter floss in the bottom I’m still getting some particles in the water, so I’m wondering if this is the best set up?

I called Fluval and they just told me to wait 7 days until the skimmer is settled in The lady also said it needs to be submerged completely, but the back compartment where the skimmer sits in the EVO 13 5 doesn't allow it to be completely submerged so that's confusing as well
