- PRS without a truss rod? - The Gear Page
I have one guitar, a Strat built by a luthier in the early 90s No truss rod I did contact the builder at some point, and I also have an acoustic from him (that does have truss rod) To add to that, it's not a thick neck One of my thinnest, actually (one previous owner had work done on the neck)
- Intonation Issue - Low E string flat | The Gear Page
Thanks for the response I have them all ocd measured @ 4 64" at the 17th fret My tech has been setting the action at this height forever I think even the Stew-Mac "How to make your electric guitar play great" book uses the same measurements It's easy to read with a 6" scale spanning the 2 frets at the 17th

You can see that by looking at them And god only knows why the tolerances are so broad in a component where the actual value is quite significant Honestly, if I get a smooth pot of the right value for my guitar, I don't even fight for a proper taper anymore I'd love to see some startup put the "big boys" out of the pot business
- Tremol-No --- Yes or no in real world? - The Gear Page
Often descriped as "too flimsy" for the real stage good for the hobby living room guitar player, but not for a gigging musician Well, i am a hobby guitar player, but i have several gigs a year (man this covid year was ****) and i like it when i can rely on my gear Would love to hear some current real world experiences with the tremol no
